Hi, what metering does your spare bucket have?
Use a “Computer Bypass Lead” to eliminate the need of a computer.
You’ll need to set the faders to Independent unless you integrate 82E20 VCA card (not worth it for a single bucket)
Regarding Logic, you can hookup some momentary switches and a 82E21 Master Status card, this really simple to do. This will give full access to the usual Statuses Via the S3 ribbon connector.
Power wise, before the introduction of Stereo channels, buckets were breakered at 4A, now 6A.
So my reckoning a fully pumping 8 channels will be touching 3.5A
Personally, I’ve used an 6.8A silent (almost) supply same as Myke has, this is tried and tested solution.
If you want Program audio from the bucket, you can use a single 82E32 3 x Cue Mix card to give: LF RF and Cue 1
It’s all really dependant on your needs, thing is.. what you want to do is totally possible :-)
If you want to get your hands dirty.. I can supply:
Momentary switches in Black or G series Grey.
82E21 Master Status Card
82E32 3x Cue Mix Card
Power Supply Wired to a 6 way BICC
Jim is the man to talk to about audio interfacing, but I would imagine all your needs could go on a single bay.
Jim can supply an SSL Patchbay pre-wired to 6 way BICC’s ready to plug into your bucket.
