BICC Connections on Stereo Channels

I finally have an opportunity to add stereo channels to my desk.  Since there we no stereo channels, no of the BICC connectors on the back are hooked up. I went today to do that and the back of the motherboard for the BICC connectors doesn't match the markings on the cables. Rather the cable markings match the patch bay and the motherboard matches the mono channels. So I have C markings on the BICC, but the motherboard does not have a C connector slot.

Does any one have a schematic or the pattern for how these are hooked up< I have a SSL 4056 loaded 48 mono.

Also, is there anything that I have to do to have the console now recognize that I will have 5 stereo channels on the desk?

Hi, just seen your post and am looking at my Bicc console wiring and will post something soon in the technical/manual section.

Meanwhile I think if a Bicc is labelled C it could be Multitrack returns. These go to the console via DL's 11 and 12 and end up on patchrows C and (linked to) J. C gets half normalled to D (line inputs on a mono channel) and J is half normalled to K (tape monitor inputs on a mono channel).

On a stereo channel, D is stereo line input L but K is NOT USED. This may mean that your Bicc labelled C is probably not used for a stereo channel but I will do more research and see if I can come up with anything.

Bear in mind, most of my info is based on knowledge from 30 years ago and I don't even own an SSL!
