Upper / Lower Buss Motherboard Edge Connectors

Hi All,

This is my first post, go easy
I've just jumped on the 4000E train, and have some parts coming in shortly (4x SL611E channels) - stuck in customs as we speak The intent is to get them up and running to get me acquainted with their operation, then expand on that.
Does anyone know a suitable edge connector (or hack) for the 77 and 88 way SL611 board connectors? The closest I could find is this, which could be modified as the pitch spacing appears to be OK. Could be cut back to size?

I want to make a basic backplane for the channel strips.

Hey Anthony-

A few things...

How do you plan to mount/house the channels?  I would highly suggest trying to find a spare bucket floating around somewhere which should have both the upper and lower edge connector cards installed.  There area  few spare edge connector cards online.

How do you plan to power this stuff?

Hi,
I have a few methods in mind for mounting these. It will be a temporary frame setup, as I have a real bucket potentially coming.
Also have a few ways to power it, as I have an existing +18/-18 +12v supply on my current console.
As mentioned, it’s for testing purposes, not permanent.

says he has an "upper and lower motherboard" so i assume that means the card with all the edge connectors on it. 

that could help because it will give you a Bicc for power

or you can ask kulka if he can get you one of these, or has a similar solution.

Hi Anthony, did these work for you? I bought an extender card from overseas and the edge connector is broken. I know they are a paint to source the right ones, but were you able to cut this one down and make use?

Hey, no luck with that one.

The best I could find, that was actually in stock was this. It's 60 way (60 rows x 2 = 120 positions).
