Alt Speaker button and the relay that should be

Hi all!

Hope everyone is keeping well in these odd times.

I have a newly built custom studio and no ability to bring in artists until this passes! UGH.
Anyway, gives me days and days to fiddle, fix and figure out!

I've been looking over some stuff and it seems the ALT monitor button Feeds a relay point on the DL connector that has all the Echo and monitoring outputs.

In my SSL wiring manual from Doppler studio, it mentions this point went to a relay in the Amp Rack.

Am i missing a piece here? I never received a relay. Im assuming maybe i can make one? Basically this button is to switch the monitoring signal to a 3rd amp / speaker combo? is this correct?

If this is the case (feeds a relay) how was this expected to work? Does anyone have info on this?

Right now im going to be feeding a set of Urei 813 as my mains, NS10 as my mini and wouldnt mind having the option to go to a third set, Either my Tannoy Golds or some KRK V8's or even some auratones.... who knows.

The ALT monitor switching is meant to be configured by the user. As shown in the attached diagram, the ALT signal is a mult of the Mini LS signal, post Mini LS Monitor level control in the master section. I usually refer to them as Mini and ALT Mini. The diagram is a guide for someone to create a custom switching box, with their own relays.
