For those that have an Ultimation system, and are familiar with the dead touch sense fader issue.
The touch sense turns off the motor when the fader it touched, and switches it to VCA mode. The driving hybrid chip can fail through overheating as it is a potted chip, either locking the motors on, or keeping it in VCA mode, rendering the fader unusable for motors on automation.
I've developed a replacement for this if anyone is interested.
