SSL 6000 Test Jig same as 4000?

I have some 6000 channels I need to work on and have the test jig for the 4000. Are they compatible?

Mix A = LF,RF

Mix B = LB, RB

Who know's about Mix C, love to check out a 6k service manual relating to A,B,C busses and Lower Bus card pinout.

Did SSL make a separate test jig for the 6000?

Hi you won't hurt anything, as the power rails will all be the same, and it's the same 611 motherboard for sure

I'd love to see the S5E or Lower Bus card info from the 6k service manual.

Got some service information:

Mix A and B are on S5E and mirror the 4k's LF,RF and LB,RB quad bus.

Mix C is on S3E, Right is Pin 2, Left is Pin 6.

So you won't hurt the channels in any way using the Test Jig.

Hey Mattia,

Got the info from a 1982 service amendment, Rev GH included the reassigning of the pinouts to include the 6000 Hex bus as standard, so all 4/6/8k are pin compatible.

So, you can put 6000 etc channels strips in a 4000? I think that would be the best way to test it?

Sure, that will work fine, here it's 4k sitting next to 8k without issues.
