Cleaning External to Monitors Button

My External to monitors buttons went out today. Is there a procedure for bringing these switches back to life. This is a big switch to be without.

Can you describe the exact behavior? Is it the switch or could it be related to the External Monitors Card/s in the Centre Section?

You can lift the 651 (powered off) and use a meter to buzz the switch to see if this is a mechanical issue.

I'm pretty sure it is a switch. I was acting intermittent and then just won't engage.

Bottom of the swich cracked off. I stole an unusused on from the center section and wired it in.  A little tricky but not the end of the word. Is there to that allows you to easily screw and unscrew these swtiches. That was one of the harder parts.

There is a tube tool made by EAO.  You can make your own from a piece of fitted and notched electrical or plumbing piping.  For occasional one-offs a large forceps is a gentle tool.
The thing to know is that the switches can act oddly if installed too tight.
