Test point
«

What are we supposed to with Test points?
Is there a general procedure or a specific procedure for each card/test point?
Is there any documentation available on that?
Thanks!

The 611E line-up procedure is in the Technical Documents section of the Forum.

They are on the daughter cards depending on what is being aligned. Usually the TP and pot in question are on the same card. Study the signal flow of the channel, get to know it like "the long way home" and you will find the proper test points.

Start with the channel block diagram it should be a large sheet in the manual and it is not a schematic. If you do not have one then the manual download here has it and it is the best 10 euros you can spend and it helps the forum.
One way to try and make sense is to make a copy or print of the block and use different color highlighters to trace different routes around the page. It is daunting to decades long techs as well and everyone has a different way of wrapping their head around it.
