external monitoring

hi guys .... I going in right direction for recap of my console ..I bought all capacitors based on this list http://forum.sslmixed.com/index.php?topic=308.msg4311#msg4311 .......
special thanks to marcmozart for you list of material for recapping and to sintech for your advice and patience ...
the next work in my job is to fix a problem with the external monitoring ....
when I press st 2 st 3 st 4 st 5 etc, it does not work.. just the 1 st working ...same happens whit the cue 1,3,4 etc (just work cue 2 ) ...

Can you tell me, in which cards I should search the problem or which way I need to take?

Hi,
this is switched by the 2 cards CF82E28,
one for studioloudspeakers, one for control room speakers.
Try switch them and see if the problem travels with the card.
(on our 4KE: back side of Mastersection motherboard marked "SLS" and "M"

Hi Luke,

check the R4 of your 338 card.  If it's 10K, it's worth changing to 5K1 (or 4K7 if you don't have it).  The rev. 1 card have this mod done.
And also take note that some manufacturer's CMOS logic chip (I thought it's Motorola) used at IC5 (4516, the biggest chip on this card) is intermittent.  Better to replace with different manufacturer's one.

Regarding IC5, Motorola might be a good one, and Signetics might be intermittent one.  Sorry to confuse you (I'm loosing my memories...)

hi guys ...After I try many times, I discovered that these IC (CD14001) didnt work in both cards . I change them for news ones, and all is working perfect.
The cards that I repaired are 82e338....
